Professional Bio
Maureen M. Farrell is the owner and principal at Law Offices of Maureen M. Farrell. Ms. Farrell’s firm concentrates on practical solutions for individuals, small businesses, and families. Ms. Farrell is a trusted advisor who represents a diverse clientele focusing on estate planning and estate administration. She represents clients in the Orphans’ Court in matters where relationships and asset protection are ever present. Her goal is to make the Court and probate process easily navigable with checklists and deadlines to assist her clients every step of the way.
Ms. Farrell is the former appointed Chair of the Solo, Small, and Mid-Size Committee of the Philadelphia Bar Association. As such, she moderated, created, and executed over thirty programs and forums for members of the Committee, the Bar, and the community. She has served on the Human Resources and Strategic Planning Committee and an Investigator for the Judicial Commission as well.
Ms. Farrell is the former Probate and Trust Law Section’s Representative to the Board of Governors of the Philadelphia Bar Association. Additionally, she served a three year term as an elected member of the Board of Governors of the Association. She has published numerous articles, such as, a piece on hoarding and powers of attorney, as an Associate Editor of the Philadelphia Bar Reporter.
Ms. Farrell served as the Vice President of the Brehon Law Society, an organization which fosters the development of Irish lawyers in the Philadelphia area.
Ms. Farrell is a frequent lecturer and moderator with past engagements at Pennsylvania For Modern Courts, Jenkins Law Library, Rosemont College, Drexel University, Thomas R. Kline, School of Law, the Philadelphia Bar Association, and the Brehon Law Society. She has been repeatedly recognized as a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer’s Rising Star. She has been recognized as an Irish 100 Rising Star in 2017.
She is the former’s Co-Chair of PHL Bar Wellness Committee and has completed 15 marathons.
She is a certified arbitrator.
