Professional Bio
Julia is a trusted philanthropy advisor to private foundations and companies and has guided charitable giving across diverse areas such as mental health, education, arts, culture, addiction recovery, autism, intellectual and developmental disabilities. She led the grantmaking and fund development for a complex national behavioral health care organization and has held Executive Director roles at high-performing cultural, arts, and educational nonprofits and foundations. With a proven track record setting organizational strategic direction, guiding board development, managing grantmaking and corporate philanthropy operations, and building transformative stakeholder relationships, Julia is regularly called upon as an expert panelist and presenter, and contributes to the industry’s advancement as a board member and advisor for several nonprofits.
Julia is a certified Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy (CAP®) with the American College of Financial Services. She holds an MA in Nonprofit Management from Columbia College Chicago, a BA in Music Education from Miami University, and a Certificate in Designing Leadership from the Arts & Business Council of Philadelphia.
