As a former prosecutor and competitive rower, Garth has always been passionate about advocacy, rising to challenges and achieving winning outcomes.
Garth assists clients on a range of Trusts + Estates matters. Accustomed to working as a member of a team, Garth collaborates with the firm’s fellow Trusts + Estates attorneys, as well as other professional advisors of his clients, to develop individualized wealth preservation and transfer plans. He takes the time to build relationships with his clients and gain a clear picture of their goals, with the understanding that each individual’s circumstances requires a unique plan. Garth also brings experience in fiduciary litigation, which affords him a different perspective and understanding of the importance of protecting the assets of his clients.
He also represents fiduciaries in fiduciary matters involving estates, trusts, and guardianships with the primary focus on the representation of corporate fiduciaries and banks in complex trust and estate matters. He has deep experience in trial and appellate work in state and federal courts and before arbitrators. Garth’s experience as an Assistant District Attorney for Chester County enables him to bring additional perspective to many cases, and contributes to his effectiveness in the courtroom.
Garth’s ADA background translates outside the courtroom as well. Applying experience gained through hundreds of investigations working with detectives and outside experts as a prosecutor, Garth conducts workplace investigations into a variety of highly sensitive claims as independent counsel.
